One row per staffing slot; ×N means that many people on that block. Times are local to the location. +1 marks a shift that ends the following calendar day.
From CSV to a live schedule
The download is not a PDF you print and pin up. Its columns are the ones Weekwright's schedule importer reads, so the file you edit in Excel is the file you upload.
Replace the placeholder names in the Employee column with your staff. Leave Day, Start, End, and Position alone — those are what the importer maps.

Common questions
Two reasons: it halves the number of handovers per day, which is where information gets lost, and it gives staff four consecutive days off, which is the single most requested feature of any nursing rota. The tradeoff is fatigue on the third consecutive shift.
Three shifts is 36 hours, deliberately under 40. Add a max-hours-per-week compliance rule at 40 and set it to BLOCKING — then a fourth picked-up shift is refused at publish rather than discovered on the payroll export.
Yes. A 19:00-07:00 shift is stored as one shift with an end time earlier than its start, attributed to the day it begins, with the unit's timezone alongside it — so duration, overtime, and the payroll export all stay correct across midnight and across DST.
