What you get

- Per-position hourly rates, so cross-trained staff are costed by the work they actually did rather than one blended rate.
- Punch-based hours minus unpaid breaks, with paid breaks left in. Breaks that overrun or fall outside their shift are clamped and flagged, not silently added.
- Warnings surfaced above the numbers, including no-shows recorded as a real zero rather than as missing data.

Honest limits
What this does not do.
Every integration has edges. Better you read them here than discover them the week you go live.
- The columns are a commonly-accepted shape, NOT certified against QuickBooks' importer. Test one file before your first real run.
- Export only. There is no QuickBooks API connection, no OAuth, and no automatic push.
- Hours and rates only — no tax, no deductions, no benefit calculations.
- If a member has no hourly rate on the position they worked, the rate column is empty rather than zero. Zero would quietly cost the shift at nothing.

Which QuickBooks product does this work with?
The CSV is a generic timesheet shape — employee, regular hours, overtime hours, rate — which QuickBooks Online and Desktop payroll timesheet imports both generally accept. Confirm against your edition's template first; the preset is conventional, not certified.
How are cross-trained employees costed?
By the position of the shift they worked. Rates live on positions, so a server picking up a bartender shift is costed at the bartender rate for those hours rather than at one average rate.
What happens with an open or missing punch?
It is reported as a warning and excluded from the totals rather than estimated. The design rule for anything that becomes a wage is refuse-and-flag, never guess-and-continue.
