Setup
How it works.

The employee opens their member page (or asks in chat) and generates a calendar feed. Weekwright returns a private .ics URL containing a random token.

In Google Calendar on desktop: Other calendars → + → From URL → paste → Add calendar.

Google fetches the feed on its own schedule and the shifts appear. Colour and name it like any other subscribed calendar.

If the URL ever leaks, revoke it. The old token dies immediately and a new feed can be generated.
Honest limits
What this does not do.
Every integration has edges. Better you read them here than discover them the week you go live.
- Google controls the refresh interval, and it is slow — commonly 8 to 24 hours for a subscribed URL. Weekwright cannot force a faster poll. For same-day changes, the push notification and the app are the source of truth; the calendar is a convenience.
- Read-only, by design. Editing the event in Google Calendar does not move the shift in Weekwright, because a calendar client is not an authorization boundary.
- Only PUBLISHED weeks are in the feed. A draft schedule yields an empty calendar on purpose — no employee should be planning their week around a draft.
- The feed URL is a bearer credential. Anyone holding it can read that employee's shifts, which is why it is per-employee and revocable rather than an org-wide link.

How do I add my work schedule to Google Calendar?
Generate your feed URL in Weekwright, then in Google Calendar go to Other calendars → From URL and paste it. Your published shifts appear as events and stay in sync as the schedule changes.
Why has my calendar not updated with this week's change?
Google decides when to re-fetch a subscribed URL, typically every 8-24 hours, and there is no way for a publisher to make it faster. For an urgent change, rely on the in-app notification. If it has been more than a day, remove and re-add the calendar.
Can my manager see my personal Google Calendar?
No. The integration is one-way: Weekwright publishes a feed and your calendar reads it. Weekwright is never granted access to your Google account and cannot see anything else on your calendar.
