Deleting your Weekwright account
How to delete your Weekwright account from the app or the website, what is erased, and what your employer keeps.
From the Weekwright app
- Open Weekwright and sign in.
- Tap your picture in the top-right corner of the first screen (or, inside an organization, open More) and choose Account.
- Tap Delete account at the bottom, then confirm.
The deletion happens immediately and you are signed out.
From the website
- Sign in at weekwright.com.
- Open your account page.
- Under Delete account, choose Delete my account, type the confirmation word and choose Delete permanently.
If you can't sign in
Write to privacy@weekwright.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We confirm it is you, delete it, and reply within 30 days. There is no charge.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in. You can no longer log in with it.
- Your profile: photo, bio, pronouns, personal phone number, language and timezone, and the emergency contact you entered.
- The phones registered to receive your notifications.
- Your place in every organization: each membership is ended, so you stop appearing as someone who can be scheduled.
Erasure from our live systems is immediate for the items above; encrypted backups age out within 30 days.
What your employer keeps
The shifts you worked, your clock-in and clock-out times, your time-off decisions and the notes about them are your employer's employment records, not yours to erase: payroll and labour law require them to keep them. They stay with the organization, as does the audit log of changes, which is kept for that organization's plan period (90 days, or seven years on the Business plan).
To have any of that corrected or removed, ask your employer — they control it. If they do not respond, tell us at privacy@weekwright.com and we will pass it on. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
If you own an organization
You cannot delete your account while you are the only owner of an organization that still has other people in it — that would leave them with nobody in charge. Make someone else an owner first, or remove the others. An organization where you are the only member does not block the deletion.
Common questions
- Can I undo a deletion?
- No. Your sign-in and profile are erased at once. If you join again later, you start a new account, and your employer can add you back to their organization.
- Do I need the app installed to delete my account?
- No. Use the website, or email privacy@weekwright.com if you cannot sign in.
